JANUARY 31st, 2018:
“NYA”—Not Your Average—that’s what this week’s recipe is all about. Whether the teams and game coming up on Sunday make you fist-pump or eye-roll, I think we can all agree that it’s a not-your-average sports day. Or, as I like to think of it, a not-your-average snacks day.
Now you could serve or bring a bag of Doritos® to your Super Bowl soirée, and I’m pretty sure no one would complain. Or, you could serve or bring a batch of homemade Not-Your-Average Party Mix, and get rave reviews. (You know what—come to think of it—better make 2 batches.)
It’s sure to delight if you serve it at room temperature. But if you really want to see people charge the bowl, then take a cue from the not-your-average flying experience—first class—and serve it warm. Hoo-wee! Nothing better. It’s easy to prep, but the low and slow baking time is key. Don’t call it done ’til the smell emanating from the oven is just too much to resist!
